Milind has held the reigns of the firm since his graduation from Sir J. J. College of Architecture, University of Mumbai in 1975. Over the last 41 years, the firm has grown significantly in stature under his inspired leadership. Milind’s boundless energy sees him contribute to every aspect of the project, right from program formulation and design conceptualization through to the minute details, while simultaneously leading strategic management.

Private clients as well as public bodies seek Milind’s vast experience in the field of real estate development to assess project feasibility and development potential, which has now become part of GDS’s core services, enabling the firm to stand apart from conventional architectural practices.

Milind currently serves as the Chairman of the Mumbai centre of the Indian Institute of Architects. He has previously served as its Secretary for the term 2012-14, Joint Honorary Secretary for the terms 2000-02 and 2002-04, and member of its Executive Committee in 1998-2000.

Registered with the Council of Architecture, Milind is also a fellow member of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) and the Institution of Valuers. In addition, he is also a life member of the Practising Architects, Engineers and Town Planners Association (PEATA) and the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID). He is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Bombay West, R. I. District 3140.

 

ARUN JOGLEKAR

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Arun joined GDS in 1986, and in his capacity as Senior Associate, has been responsible for the overall management of projects. He has 41 years of experience in the fields of architecture and planning, following his graduation from Sir J. J. College of Architecture, University of Mumbai in 1975. He also holds a Diploma in Town Planning from the Government of Maharashtra in 1979.

Arun serves as an Executive Committee member of the Mumbai chapter of the Indian Institute of Architects and as Editor of its journal. He is registered with the Council of Architecture and the Institution of Valuers, is an Associate Member of the IIA and a Life Member of PEATA. Arun is a visiting professor at L. B. Hiray College of Architecture in Mumbai and has previously taught at Sir J. J. College.

CHARUDATTA MAHAJAN

SENIOR ASSOCIATE
B. Arch.

Charu has been associated with GDS since 1990, and special interest in interior architecture, and has a wide experience in hospitality, retail, office and residential interiors. Charu has led GDS’s various proposals for the Privatization Initiative Cell for Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM), including the Centenary Hospital and the KEM Hospital students’ hostel.

A graduate from Sir J. J. College of Architecture, University of Mumbai in 1975, Charu is registered with the Council of Architecture and is an Associate Member of the IIA.

ADVAIT SAMBHARE

URBAN DESIGNER + ARCHITECT
B. Arch., MUD, MDesS

Since beginning his career at GDS as a student intern in 2001, Advait has been involved in a wide range of practice management and strategic initiatives, in addition to leading studio teams on a wide range of urban design and architecture projects.

Advait holds Masters degrees from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. His research titled ‘Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Enabling architects to regain leadership in the building industry’, appeared in a joint publication by Actar and Harvard GSD in 2012.

Advait is registered with the Council of Architecture in India and various other professional associations. He serves as a visiting thesis advisor at Sir J. J. College of Architecture, his alma mater.

DARSHANA DUBHASHI

SENIOR ASSOCIATE
G. D. Arch.

Darshana began her career at GDS in 1998 and currently functions as Head of the Architecture department. She is currently engaged with several of GDS’s institutional, healthcare and civic works. She has applied her knowledge in Management Information Systems towards refinement of GDS’s office administration, conducted various training programs for staff, in addition to business development and outreach initiatives.

Darshana is registered with the Council of Architecture in India and is an associate member of the Indian Institute of Architects.

 

KISHOR JOSHI

SENIOR ASSOCIATE
DCE

Kishor started his career at GDS in 1995, and has been responsible for co-ordination with various authorities for statutory approvals, sanctions, remarks and certifications required during the course of a project’s progress through various stages. He has supervised the preparation of municipal proposals, co-ordinating architectural and engineering inputs and pursued the procurement of approvals on large scale development projects for public and private clients.

Kishor is a member of the Practising Engineers, Architects and Town Planners Association.
