Milind has held the reigns of the firm since his graduation from Sir J. J. College of Architecture, University of Mumbai in 1975. Over the last 31 years, the firm has grown phenomenally in stature under his inspired leadership. Milind's boundless energy sees him contribute to every aspect of the project, right from program formulation and design conceptualization through to the minute details, while simultaneously defining GDS's business development strategy.
Milind's vast experience in the field of real estate development has been sought by private clientele as well as public bodies to assess project feasibility and development potential, which has now become part of GDS's core services, enabling the firm to stand apart from conventional architectural practices.
The following achievements bear testimony to his tall professional stature:


  • Paper presentation to the Delhi Development Authority on the experiences of development in Mumbai, for considering Masterplan for Delhi 2021.
  • Paper presentation to the Delhi Development Authority on the Redevelopment of Old Mumbai Area, related to the Urban Renewal Scheme for Shahajanabad.
  • Report on the Redevelopment of Municipal Properties through Public Private Partnership.
  • Member of the committee appointed by the MCGM for disaster management and safety considerations for earthquake resistant structures.
  • Joint Honorary Secretary of the Mumbai chapter of the Indian Institute of Architects for the term 2000-02 and 2002-04 and member of its Executive Committee in 1998-2000.
Milind is registered with the Council of Architecture. He is also a fellow member of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) and the Institution of Valuers, and a life member of the Practising Architects, Engineers and Town Planners Association (PEATA) and the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID). He is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Bombay West, R. I. District 3140.
