T.P., A.I.I.A., A.I.V.    Senior Associatel   Arun joined GDS in 1986, and in his capacity as Senior Associate, has been responsible for the co-ordination between the design, engineering and liaison departments of the firm, towards the overall management of projects. He has thirty years of experience in the fields of architecture and planning, following his graduation from Sir J. J. College of Architecture, University of Mumbai in 1975. He also holds a Diploma in Town Planning from the Government of Maharashtra in 1979. His expertise has been instrumental in developing GDS's large scale planning and housing projects, including Ram Laxman Tekdi, the Reahilitation and Resettlement Projects for MMRDA, Sahyadri Nagar and currently the development of the Life Insurance Corporation's 35 hectare holding at Borivli, among various others. Arun has served as Executive Committee member of the Maharashtra chapter of the IIA and as Editor of its journal. He has contributed articles to various publications and also authored four books. He has been a visiting faculty member for Town Planning at Sir J. J. College of Architecture in 1986-87. He is registered with the Council of Architecture and the institution of Valuers, an Associate Member of the IIA and a Life Member of PEATA.
